SwampDogs Defeat Tobs in 15

WILSON, N.C. - Fayetteville scored three runs in the top of the 15th inning of Thursday night's contest to hand the Wilson Tobs its four conescutive loss 6-3 at Historic Fleming Stadium.

The SwampDogs (6-4) pushed across three runs in the 15th off Hart Mizell (L, 1-1) on three base hits. In the bottom of the frame, the Tobs could not answer as Stephen Frey (W, 1-0) worked a perfect bottom half to give the SwampDogs the win.

Wilson (3-5) railled to tie the game at three in the 12th on Geoff Jimenez sacrifice fly. The Tobs also came from two runs down in the seventh to knot the score when Zack Houchins doubled in a run and Joe Costigan tied the score on a base hit.

The Tobs hit the road on Friday night for a double-header with the Peninsula Pilots at War Memorial Stadium with the first game beginning at 6:00 with the second contest to start 45 minutes following the first. Wilson returns to Historic Fleming Stadium on Saturday night at 7:05 against the Wilmington Sharks. It will another Festival Saturday presented by Thomas and Farris.
