Saturday, June 30th Marks the Doug Wilhoit Garden Gnome Giveaway

Stockton, Calif. - Saturday, June 30th marks the date for what is sure to be a special night at Banner Island Ballpark, as the Ports honor Doug Wilhoit with a one"of"a"kind Garden Gnome giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. The Ports are teaming up with the Child Abuse Prevention Council, Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, and the Women's Center along with the Stockton Chamber of Commerce to honor Mr. Wilhoit, and raise funds and awareness for the non"profit agencies involved. In addition, all fans in attendance will receive a limited addition Doug Wilhoit Garden Gnome baseball card.

Doug, the CEO of the Stockton Chamber of Commerce, will be the night's Guest of Honor, and one representative from each agency will throw out a ceremonial first pitch for the 7:05pm contest against the Visalia Rawhide. In advance of the event all agencies involved have partnered with the Ports to sell tickets to the June 30th game, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit each agency respectively. The Ports will also host additional fundraising activities for the three agencies throughout the night, including special edition autographed Garden Gnomes and baseball cards.

"Doug Wilhoit has been an amazing advocate for the Ports and the Stockton community as a whole," asserts Ports General Manager Luke Reiff.
