LHP Scott Maine Returns to Iowa Cubs

Des Moines, IA - Left-handed pitcher Scott Maine will be in the Iowa Cubs bullpen tonight, after being optioned from the Chicago Cubs yesterday.
The 27-year-old posted an 0-1 record and a 1.59 ERA (1 ER/5.2 IP) in five relief outings with Chicago.
Maine was on the Iowa Cubs Opening Day roster and boasted a 1-0 record with one save and a 1.42 ERA (1 ER/6.1 IP) in five relief appearances with the club before being recalled by Chicago on April 20.
The Iowa Cubs host the New Orleans Zephyrs in the first of a four-game series tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Principal Park. Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a post-game fireworks show sponsored by Mediacom and the first 1,000 fans will receive a 2012 Iowa Cubs magnet schedule courtesy of Musco Lighting.
