Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford defeated Milwaukee 4-2 on Wednesday night at the AESC to complete a 3-0 series sweep of the Admirals in the opening round of the AHL Calder Cup playoffs. The Western Conference quarterfinal series victory is the second in franchise history for the Heat organization.

Hugh Jessiman and Clay Wilson each got their first markers of the postseason to notch the game at 2-2 after 40 minutes. Rookie forward Dustin Sylvester scored the game winner midway through the third frame and Clay Wilson potted his second of the night into the empty net to seal the win for the home club. Krys Kolanos had two assists to increase his playoff point total to eight (4-4-8).

Danny Taylor made the start in goal and stopped 26 shots en route to his third straight victory in the series and eighth in a row overall dating back to the regular season.

The Heat now await the conclusion of other action around the league to determine who they will face in the AHL Western Conference semifinals.
