Round Rock's hitting overpowered New Orleans in a 10-0 loss on Sunday at Zephyr Field. The Express handed the Zephyrs their second shut out of the season, limiting the Z's to just three hits.

Round Rock took an early lead in the top of the second frame on fielder's choice RBI with bases loaded by Luis Martinez.

The Express scored two runs in the fourth and another in the sixth on home runs by Joey Butler and Yangervis Solarte, giving Round Rock a 4-0 lead.

After a Martinez two-run homer off Elih Villanueva in the top of the ninth, Beau Jones came in for relief, giving up a three-run home run to Michael Bianucci and an RBI double to Butler.

The Zephyrs had only three hits on the day coming from Kevin Mattison, Matt Dominguez, and Bryan Petersen.

Brad Hand (2-1) struck out four and walked four taking the loss for the Z's allowing four earned runs in six innings. Neil Ramirez (2-1) grabbed the win for Round Rock striking out six in his six innings.

New Orleans will resume the series Monday at 7pm for the third game against Round Rock. Southpaw Wade LeBlanc (1-0) will start for the Zephyrs, facing Express right-hander Greg Reynolds (0-2).
