After playing the first two games the series at Wings Stadium, the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals will head down to the North Charleston Coliseum for game three of the best-of-seven series. Kalamazoo took a two games to none lead over South Carolina with a 4-1 victory last Saturday night.
Breaking game two open in the third period, the K-Wings received goals from Dwight Helminen, Eric Kattelus and Nick Sirota in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory. After dropping their first game in the playoffs, Kalamazoo has won five straight playoff games.
Striking first in game two with a goal from Chris Higgins, South Carolina became the first team in six games to register on the scoreboard before Kalamazoo. The Stingrays, who are 1-1 in the playoffs at home, went 22-11-1-2 during the regular season at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Tonight will mark the return of forward Dean Strong. On Tuesday, Strong was returned to the K-Wings from the Lake Erie Monsters, where he has played since December 15th.

Forwards Dwight Helminen and Nick Sirota have been on fire in the playoffs. Both players start the week on six-game point streaks.
Heating Up
Forwards Kory Karlander and Darryl Bootland have been on a scoring tear. Karlander has earned points in five straight games, while Bootland has registered a point in four consecutive contests.
Road Power
Kalamazoo, who leads the league in playoff power-play percentage at 24.4%, has been even stronger with a man-advantage on the road. So far in the playoffs, the K-Wings are 50% (3-for-6) on the road on the power-play.
