IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Elmira Jackals and the Florida Everblades meet in Game 4 of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals tonight at Germain Arena, with the puck set to drop at 7:30 p.m. The Everblades took Game 3 on Monday night in Southwest Florida, 5-4, behind an overtime goal with 2.1 seconds remaining from David Fischer. The Jackals are 4-2 all-time in the fourth game of a Kelly Cup Playoff series and would tie the series back up with a win tonight.

OVERTIME, ONE-GOAL PLAYOFF WOES

Despite winning the most sudden-death overtime (6) and one-goal (26) games in the regular season, the Jackals could not escape from their dark playoff history in those situations on Monday night. Elmira fell to 1-8 in ECHL postseason overtime games and 2-12 in one-goal contests with the loss. The Jackals' last one-goal win came in their only overtime playoff victory as well - a 5-4 victory over the Trenton Devils in Game 1 of the 2009 North Division Semifinals, a contest that still stands as the longest game ever played in ECHL history.

BOURBEAU, PIETRUS STEP UP

Jean Bourbeau and Jordan Pietrus each came up with three-point nights on Monday, with both skaters posting a goal and two assists in the loss. Pietrus is now tied for the Jackals' postseason lead with eight points (1-7) with Artem Demkov and Dustin Gazley.
