Aces Sign Forward Tim Hall to ATO

The Alaska Aces have signed rookie forward Tim Hall to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO), Aces Head coach Rob Murray announced on Thursday. Hall recently completed his collegiate career at Colorado College and will join the Aces in time for their games this weekend against the Colorado Eagles. The Aces continue their season ending, nine-game road trip in Colorado on Friday and Saturday at 5:05pm AKT. They will return back home for the postseason in April. Hall, 22, joins the Aces for his pro debut this weekend after a four-year career at Colorado College. A defensive forward at 5'8" and 175 lbs., Hall finished his Tigers career with 40 points (16g, 24a) in 135 college games. This season as a senior, Hall had five goals and three assists in 34 games. Four of his five goals came in the final 12 games of the year. Hall is a mathematical economics major who twice was named to the WCHA All-Academic team. His best offensive production came as a sophomore when Hall had 18 points (5g, 13a) in 38 games and was given the team's Most Improved Player Award. His collegiate career came to a close on Mar. 10th when Colorado College was upset by Michigan Tech in a two-game sweep of the opening round of the WCHA tournament. Prior to joining Colorado College, Hall spent two seasons with the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the USHL, where he put up strong numbers. He combined for 75 points (35g, 40a) in 113 games. In his first season, his 31 points led the club, while he finished second in team scoring with 44 points (18g, 26a) in 57 games. In Ohio, he was teammates for one season with current Aces defenseman Danny Markowitz.

The Aces are two points away from clinching the 2012 Mountain Division Championship. Their first chance at clinching comes on Friday night against the Eagles.
