Dunedin Blue Jays News Release

The Dunedin Blue Jays, in association with the American Cancer Society and Florida Blood Services, will host their second annual "Fight for a Cure Night" at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium on Saturday, August 13 when they take on the Tampa Yankees at 6pm.

The Blue Jays will be donating 1,000 game tickets to cancer patients, survivors and their families. If you or someone you know has been touched by cancer and are interested in attending the ballgame for free please call 727-738-7052 or visit dunedinbluejays.com to download an RSVP form. Patients and survivors will be welcomed onto the field at 5:30pm for the pre-game festivities.

The Florida Blood Services Blood Mobile will be on site from 4:30pm-7:30pm, and fans who donate blood will receive a free ticket into the game along with a Blue Jays bobblehead.

Blue Jays players will be wearing commemorative Purple Jerseys on this special night which will be raffled off following the game for fans to take home. Raffle tickets to win a Jersey cost $20 each, and can be purchased at any home Dunedin Blue Jays game, by calling 727-738-7052 or by faxing or mailing in the Jersey Raffle Form on dunedinbluejays.com. After the game, there will be a presentation of the purple jerseys and players will be able to sign the jerseys and mingle with the fans.

CBS 10's Grayson Kamm will be the emcee for the evening's events - including on-field promotions and the Jays Silent Auction which will feature baseball memorabilia and donations from the local community.

The game falls on a Saturday night, and like all of our Junior Jays Saturdays, there will be bouncy houses, face painters, and in game promotions for kids to enjoy.
