Bulldogs Downed By Barons 5-2 In Game Four

Oklahoma City, OK - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Oklahoma City Barons 5-2 in Game 4 of the North Division Semi-Final. The series is now tied 2-2. Mark Arcobello and Linus Omark each had a goal and an assist to lead Oklahoma City to the win.

The Barons opened the game's scoring at 3:06 of the first frame. Hunter Tremblay intercepted a passing attempt from a Bulldogs defender while stationed in front of the ‘Dogs net. Tremblay backhanded the puck between the legs of Hamilton starting goaltender Drew MacIntyre.

The ‘Dogs tied the game 1-1 at 10:29 of the opening period. Nigel Dawes received the puck from Dustin Boyd before rifling a shot that bounced off the glove of Oklahoma City starting goaltender Martin Gerber and then the crossbar. The puck proceeded to drop into the crease where Ian Schultz whacked it over the goal line.

Oklahoma City took a 2-1 lead at 5:40 of the second stanza. Greg Stewart sent a pass to Ryan O'Marra, who was positioned at the right faceoff dot. O'Marra fired a shot towards the net that was tipped by Stortini, who was in front of the net. The puck trickled through the pads of MacIntyre before rolling over the goal line.

Hamilton tied the game 2-2 at 13:50 of the middle frame. Jimmy Bonneau sent the puck to the left faceoff circle where Paul Zanette was positioned. Zanette sent a shot to the net that travelled through traffic before beating Gerber.

Arcobello gave the Barons a 3-2 lead at 19:34 of the second period while on the power play. Omark received the puck from Bryan Helmer before blasting a shot towards the net. Arcobello redirected the shot under the right arm of MacIntyre and into the net.

Omark added Oklahoma City's fourth goal at 11:26 of the final frame. Omark picked up a Teemu Hartikainen rebound while behind the Hamilton net. Omark sent the puck to the front of the net where it bounced off the skate of a Bulldogs player and between the legs of MacIntyre. Chris Vandevelde added an empty net marker at 19:20 of the final frame.

The Bulldogs will meet the Barons for Game 5 on Friday, April 22nd in Oklahoma City at 8:05 p.m. All Hamilton Bulldogs playoff broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
