OVERALL... The Admirals and Stars return to action tonight at the Cedar Park Center in Austin, TX for game four of their best-of-seven West Division Semifinals. Texas took a 2-1 series lead last night with a 3-2 overtime win. Milwaukee finished the regular season with 102 points and earned the first seed, while Texas captured the fourth seed with 92 points. This is the ninth consecutive season the Ads have qualified for the post-season and the 31st time in 34 years that Milwaukee has hit the ice in the playoffs. Including Thursday's game the team's all-time playoff record stands at 94-125 and since joining the AHL in 2001 the Admirals have tallied a 48-39 mark with a 21-22 record on the road.

THE SERIES SO FAR... The teams split the two games in Milwaukee as the Ads took a 5-2 win in game one, while the Stars responded with a 3-1 victory in game 2. Gabriel Bourque finished the first game with two goals and three assists, while Chris Mueller chipped in a pair of goals and two assists as well to pace the Milwaukee offense. On Saturday night the Admirals jumped out a 1-0 lead, but Texas scored three unanswered goals to earn the win. Richard Bachman stopped 29 of 30 shots to earn the win. Then last night the Admirals jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but again the Stars scored three straight to take a 3-2 OT win. Travis Morin got the game-winer in overtime, while Brad Lukowich tied the game with just 21 seconds to play.

OVERTIME EFFORTS... The loss last night in overtime dropped the Admirals all-time playoff OT record to 17-20 and 10-5 since joining the American Hockey league in 2001. The last time Milwaukee played an overtime game was game 6 of the West Division Semifinals last season when they topped Chicago 5-4. The Ads hadn't lost an OT game since April 20, 2008 against the Wolves and it was their first road overtime loss since a 4-3 defeat to Cincinnati on April 23, 2005.

LEADING THE CHARGE... Admirals forwards Gabriel Bourque and Chris Mueller continue to lead the offensive charge for the team. They each picked up a goal last night and have now accounted for six of the eight goals that Milwaukee has scored in the post-season. Bourque leads the team in playoff scoring with seven points (3g-4a), which included a franchise record tying five point night (2g-3a) in game one. Mueller has five points in the three games (3g-2a) and is also +6. Their output shouldn't come as too much of a surprise as they were both at the top of the team's scoring during the regular season. Mueller paced the club with 26 goals and 50 points, while Bourque was third on the team and tops among rookies with 18 markers.

TALL IN NET... In spite of suffering the loss last night, Admirals netminder Jeremy Smith put forth an impressive effort, turning aside 37 shots in the game, including 20 in the third period and overtime. Named co-MVP of the Kelly Cup Playoff with Cincinnati last season, Smith put together a successful first year in Milwaukee. The Dearborn, MI native finished the regular season with a 16-8-2 record to go along with a 2.26 goals against average, a .921 save percentage and a pair of shutouts.

SCORING FIRST... Ironically, the team that has scored the first goal of each game as gone on to lose, and unfortunately for the Admirals, they have done it twice. The Stars got on the board first in game on an Aaron Gagnon tally, while Teemu Laakso opened the scoring in game two and Chris Mueller put the Ads up 1-0 last night. During the regular season Milwaukee managed a 27-3-3-4 record when scoring first, while the Stars posted a 28-7-2-2 mark. In post-season play the Admirals hold a 34-6 record when scoring the first goal.

MAN IN THE BOX... The Admirals and Stars finished the regular season as the two least penalized teams in the league and that held true in game one where there were just ten minutes of penalties whistled. However in games two and three, the teams combined for 52 PIMs and 22 power-plays. The penalties are particularly troublesome for the Admirals as Texas has scored three of their six goals in the past two games on the power-play. Overall in the series, both teams are 3-for-11 with the man-advantage.

SHOT DOWN... The Admirals outshot the Stars 12-6 in the first period last night, but the Ads wouldn't equal that total for the rest of the game combined as Texas had a 34-11 shot advantage in the final two periods and overtime and finished the game with 40 shots to the Admirals 23. That included just one shot for Milwaukee during the second period, which tied a franchise playoff record for fewest shots in a stanza. The only other time the Admirals have managed just one shot in a period was April 23, 1999 against the Manitoba Moose in the third in a 4-3 double-OT loss.

STATS AND STUFF... All-time in game number fours the Admirals have posted an 18-19 record, which includes an 11-9 mark on the road, the only game of playoff series where they have a winning record away from home. The loss last night was just the second time in the playoffs since the team joined the AHL that they have lost a game when leading after two periods. In their playoff history Milwaukee has won just one series when trailing two games to one. That victory was back in 2004 when they topped Cincinnati in the first round and went on to win the Calder Cup.

OVER THE AIR AND ON THE WEB... For the fourth consecutive season Sportsradio 1250 WSSP will serve as the Admirals flagship station with Aaron Sims calling all of the hard-hitting end-to-end action. In addition, the team has a one-hour hockey magazine dubbed "Milwaukee Admirals Center Ice" that airs every Monday from 6-7 pm on WSSP.
