Bruins Sign Randell to Entry-Level Contract

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced that the club has signed forward Tyler Randell to an entry-level contract. Per club policy, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Randell, a 6'1", 197-lb native of Brampton, Ontario, had 20-12=32 totals in 68 games this season for the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. He also had 160 PIM, which led the team, and his 19 regular season fighting majors tied for second in the OHL.
The 19-year-old was drafted by the Bruins in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in 250 OHL games with the Belleville Bulls and Kitchener Rangers, with 58-43=101 totals and 371 PIM.
