BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Jam (17-12) defeated the visiting Springfield Armor (9-20) by a score of 124-110 at the Jam Events Center tonight. Both teams made 16 3-pointers each, but Bakersfield outscored Springfield 48-30 in the paint and made 10 more free-throws than the Armor to come out victorious.
The Jam finished the game with season-high 34 team assists and season low 9 total turnovers. Springfield's guard Tony Bobbitt hit 8 3-pointers tonight, setting a new league high for 3-point field goals made in a single game this season, and Scottie Reynolds dished out 18 assists, a new league high for assists in a single game this season.
Eight Bakersfield Jam players scored in double-figures tonight, led by Clippers assignee, Willie Warren, with 22 points on 7-for-10 shooting. Derrick Byars and Stephen Dennis both finished with 18 points a piece. Drew Naymick added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Newly acquired forward, Adam Koch, scored 13 points, including perfect 3-for-3 from downtown. Luke Zeller and Kenny Taylor had 12 points each and Jeremy Wise contributed a near double-double of 10 points and 9 assists.
Springfield had five of their players finish in double-figures, led by Tony Bobbitt's 28 point performance. Sixers assignee, Craig Brackins, finished with 24 points. Jerry Smith had 17 points off the bench. Gavin Edwards contributed a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Scottie Reynolds scored 14 points.
The two teams will square-off again tomorrow night at the Jam Events Center at 7 p.m.
