Stamps and Als Trade Voided
January 19, 2011 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Calgary Stampeders News Release
Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel announced today that the club's trade with Montreal that sent non-import defensive lineman Mike Labinjo to the Alouettes for future considerations has been voided and that, as a result, Labinjo has rejoined Calgary's roster.
Stipulations of the trade gave Montreal one week to finalize the agreement.
"When we made this trade, Montreal was given a window to review everything with Mike before they finalized the agreement and it was their determination not to go ahead with the deal," said Hufnagel. "Mike is back on our active roster for the time being and I will decide in the immediate future how we will proceed."
Stampeders season tickets for 2011 are on sale now by contacting the Stampeders' Ticket Office (403-289-0258 or toll free at 1-800-667-3267).
