BRIDGEPORT, CT - Goaltender Martin Jones stopped all 27 shots he faced and collected his first shutout of his professional career as the Manchester Monarchs blanked the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 1-0, at the Arena at Harbor Yard on Saturday night.

The lone goal of the game came at 11:20 of the opening frame when center Marc-Andre Cliche tallied his second goal of the season. Center Andrei Loktionov held the puck in the right corner of the Sound Tigers' zone before finding center Oscar Moller in the right face-off circle. Moller received the pass and quickly sent a pass over to Cliche who was skating through the slot. Cliche was able to get his stick on the puck and flip it past goaltender Nathan Lawson before falling to the ice.

Jones (3-1-0) collected his third win of the season and his first professional shutout with 27 saves. Lawson (1-4-0) dropped his fourth game of the season, halting 26-of-27 shots on net.
