The Kamloops Blazers scored three times in the second period and then hung on to defeat the Kelowna Rockets 5-4 Wednesday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.

Down 5-2 after two periods of play the Rockets came charging back. Rockets defenceman Brendon Wall scored his first goal as a Rocket on an early third period power play. Wall then assisted on Zach Franko's third goal of the season on another power play to make the score 5-4. Despite a late power play the Rockets couldn't find the tying marker.

The game was tied 2-2 after the first period but the Blazers scored three times in the second to take a 5-2 lead. The team's exchanged goals in the first period. Spencer Main had the goal of the period as the Rockets forward ignited the Kelowna crowd splitting the Blazers' defense and scoring. Brett Bulmer added a power play later in the first to tie the game 2-2.

Kamloops goals were scored by Brendan Ranford, Austin Madaisky, Bronson Maschmeyer, Dalibor Bortnak and Bernhard Keil. The Rockets are now 2-and-5 on the WHL season.

Kelowna is back in action this weekend playing two games. Friday night the Rockets are in Chilliwack before a Saturday home game against Portland at Prospera Place.
