Kings Assign Buckley To Germany

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Brendan Buckley to the Iserlohn Roosters of the German Elite League (DEL), Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Buckley, 30, served as captain of the Monarchs during the 2006-07 season and recorded nine points (2-7=9) and 107 penalty minutes in 63 games. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Needham, Massachusetts, registered three assists and 13 penalty minutes in the Monarchs 2007 Calder Cup playoff run that won them the Atlantic Division Championship. Buckley has collected 84 points (14-70=84) and 723 penalty minutes in 501 career AHL games with the Monarchs, Peoria Rivermen, Worcester IceCats, Syracuse Crunch, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Cincinnati Mighty Ducks from 1999-2007.
