Palmieri Returns To Erie

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League learned on Tuesday evening that forward Nick Palmieri (pictured) is on his way back to Erie after spending the better part of September with the New Jersey Devils.

The third year Otters forward was selected 79th overall by the Devils in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and enjoyed an extended stay with the Devils appearing in two NHL pre-season games as well as a rookie game and one American Hockey League pre-season game.

Palmieri, who finished third in Otters scoring in 2006-07 with 24 goals and 21 assists for 45 points in 56 games, is scheduled to be at the Tullio Arena for practice today and be in the Otters line-up when they return to action Friday night in Guelph against the Storm.

Friday's game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m.

The Otters 2007-08 Home Opener takes place this Saturday (September 29th) at the Tullio Arena when the Sudbury Wolves visit for a 7:30 p.m. start presented by Taco Bell and JET-TV. Don't miss the pre-game party being held from 5-7 p.m. on 8th Street featuring fun for the kids, food, beverages and a free concert by the M-80's. 2007-08 Erie Otters Season Tickets are still available. Reserve your seats now and save big over the Box Office price. Platinum level tickets are $376.74; Gold level tickets are $328.61 and a Child (12 and under) Season Ticket in any seating level is $230.48. All prices do not include the City of Erie Entertainment Tax or fees. There are additional savings for Erie Youth Hockey Association and Erie Lady Lions members.

Single game tickets for the 2007-08 OHL Season are now on sale at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Civic Center Box Office. Platinum tickets are $13.50, Gold Tickets are $11.50 and Children (12 and under) are $9.50 in any seating area. All single game ticket prices include the City of Erie Entertainment Tax.
