PHOENIX - The Phoenix Mercury swept San Antonio on Saturday night to become the 2007 Western Conference Champions. Phoenix will represent the Western Conference in the WNBA Finals for the first time since 1998. The first home game of the WNBA Finals will either be Wednesday, September 5 or Tuesday, September 11, depending on the winner of the Eastern Conference Championship which will be determined on Monday, September 3 at the Detroit/Indiana game which tips off at 6:00 p.m. EDT. Basketball fans can secure their spot at the WNBA Finals by purchasing tickets which are on sale now. Tickets start at only $10. The WNBA Finals is a best of five series.
"This is the first time that Phoenix has been in the WNBA Finals since 1998," said Jay Parry, Mercury President and COO. "We are thrilled to give basketball fans in the Valley an opportunity to watch great finals action at US Airways Center with tickets starting at just $10."
