Riggs heads to inactive list

Zebulon, NC ---- The Florida Marlins have placed infielder Eric Riggs on the temporary inactive list retroactive to August 24th.
Riggs departed the club early Friday morning, returning to Indiana to be with his wife for the birth of twin boys.
Carolina's active roster is at 23 players, one shy of the Southern League maximum. No corresponding roster move was made.
Carolina continues its final road series of the season, playing at first-place Montgomery Sunday night at 6:05 PM ET.
