Will Drama Claim "Victory" Over Schrute In Next Grizzlies Promotion?
August 14, 2007 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Fresno Grizzlies News Release
Fresno, CA- Wednesday, August 15th will be a celebration of two of the most entertaining characters on television as the Fresno Grizzlies host Johnny Drama versus Dwight Schrute Night at Chukchansi Park. These two personalities have brought laughter to television audiences across the country and the Grizzlies will find out on August 15th which character fans relate to and like most.
Johnny "Drama" Chase is the older half-brother of movie star Vincent Chase in the HBO television series Entourage. He has been a C-list actor for the better part of his career, best known for his starring role as Tarvold in the cult television series Viking Quest. "Drama" was once married, for 9 days, before the marriage was annulled. He attended high school for 6 years. His tagline, "Victory", has spread the world over.
Dwight Kurt Schrute III is the Assistant to the Regional Manager at Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company on the hit NBC series The Office. Schrute craves authority over his "inferiors" and relishes any minor task given to him by his boss, Michael Scott. Dwight drives a maroon 1987 Pontiac Trans Am, cuts his own hair, loves laser tag, and believes that heroes wake up in the morning with mass quantities of anger. He keeps an extra pair of Birkenstock sandals in his car "for special occasions".
These comedic masterminds will both be honored by the Grizzlies front office in various forms such as video board tributes, on-field competitions and in-game video clips showing their best performances. Fans will have the opportunity to vote during the game whether they are a "Drama" or a "Schrute" fan and the results will be tallied and announced to the fans prior to the end of the game.
Once a favorite has been chosen, a lucky section of fans will receive a special giveaway commemorating the winner of Johnny Drama vs. Dwight Schrute Night. Should The Office star win, some fans will get their very own replica Dwight Schrute Lackawanna County Volunteer Sheriff's Deputy badge. If the Entourage leading man indeed claims "Victory," some fans will receive a replica Johnny "Drama" Chase Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card.
Wednesday also marks the last Fresno Bee Season Ten Special of the 2007 season, in which $1 tickets can be purchased for kids 12 and under, seniors over 55 and military personnel with valid I.D. The Grizzlies Team Store will also be offering 3 items for $10 for fans who come out to Wednesday's game. Wednesday will also feature another round of the fan favorite Sara Lee Bread Giveaway as well as a Back to School drive in which fans can donate school supplies and receive a ticket voucher to a future Grizzlies home game.
Tickets for the remaining eight Grizzlies home games are available at the Chukchansi Park ticket office, by phone at (559) 320-TIXS, or online at www.fresnogrizzlies.com.
