Seabol Swings Away With PCL Player Of The Week

July 30, 2007 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

After a monstrous week at the plate that saw him bat .458 with 11 RBI in seven games, Albuquerque Isotopes infielder Scott Seabol has been named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for games beginning on July 23rd and continuing through July 29th, the circuit announced today.

The PCL All-Star collected 11 hits in 24 at-bats for the ‘Topes for the week, with six runs, three doubles, and four homers. His slugging percentage over the seven-game stretch was an impressive 1.083.

This is the second time Seabol has been recognized by the PCL as its Player of the Week in as many seasons. Last year, he won the award from May 8-14 as part of his record-setting month.

Surprisingly, Seabol is the first Isotopes hitter to win the weekly accolade this season, with pitchers Chris George and Rick Vanden Hurk the only other Albuquerque players to be singled out for League Player of the Week recognition so far this year.
