Locked in a pennant race and poised for a late-playoff push, the Albuquerque Isotopes kick-off a busy month at The Lab on Wednesday with an eight-game homestand packed with fireworks, giveaways and the annual Back to School Weekend.

The Isotopes will play 18 games at home in August, and the action begins on the first of the month when Albuquerque launches a four-game set with the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. For the opener, Glow Sticks will be given to the first 3,000 fans through the turnstiles, thanks to the Office of Emergency Preparedness.

The Isotopes' annual Back to School Weekend begins with a Post-Game Fireworks Show, presented by Wienerschnitzel, on Saturday night. Sunday's game features an Albuquerque Journal Pre-Game Autograph Session at 5 PM featuring Orbit and 'Topes reliever Roy Corcoran. If that weren't enough, the first 3,000 fans will receive an Isotopes Three-Ring Binder-perfect for the classroom-courtesy of Staples.
