Breast Cancer Awareness Night and Zooperstars kick off four game homestand at the Epicenter

The Quakes return home for a 4 game series as they take on the Stockton Ports.

FridayJuly 27th When the Quakes square off against the Stockton Ports, the California League affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, on Friday, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Susan G. Komen Foundation will team up for Breast Cancer Awareness Night at The Epicenter.

The Quakes have a number of things in store to support those who are fighting breast cancer. Survivors will be recognized on-field pre-game by taking the field alongside the Quakes for the National Anthem. Select members of the front-office staff of the Quakes will also be up for bid in a bachelor auction to be held during the game.

The Quakes will also show support for Breast Cancer victims and survivors by wearing special pink uniforms that will be auctioned off via silent auction during the game. Proceeds from the silent auction along with the front-office bachelor auction will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

In addition, Friday, July 27th game features a visit by the national traveling mascot act Zooperstars! Presented by Charter Communications, Zooperstars are well-known nationally for providing superior entertainment with skits and sports-themed inflatable mascots, such as "Clammy Sosa," "Snail Ernhart," and "Roger Clammens."

Saturday July 28th Gates open at 6:05 for a 7:05 game against Stockton where CO-OP Network will bring you another post game firework spectacular.

Sunday July 29th Former Major League Pitcher Frank Tanana will make an appearance at the Epicenter to sign autographs and meet the public. Game time is 5:05 and gates open at 4:05.

Monday July 30th The Quakes close out their July home schedule with MONDAY MADNESS. For just $14 you can get 2 club seats, 2 hot dogs, 2 sodas, and 2 bags of chips. Game time is 7:05 as the Quakes take on the Stockton Ports in this final game of a 4 game series.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes extend their thoughts and prayers out to the baseball community saddened by the unfortunate death of Tulsa Drillers' Hitting Coach Mike Coolbaugh. Coolbaugh, 35, died Sunday after being struck in the head by a line drive as he stood in the first-base coach's box during a game at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas, home to the Travelers, the Angels' Double- A Texas League affiliate.

The Quakes will join a host of other minor league teams in remembrance of Coolbaugh by offering fans the opportunity to contribute to the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund, set up by the Tulsa Drillers, to help out his family following his death. Fans can donate money in any denomination to the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund, C/O Spirit Bank, 1800 S. Baltimore Ave, Tulsa, OK 74119. Quakes fans can mail their donations to the fund, or bring donations to the Quakes administrative offices during normal business hours. The Quakes will also accept donations at the courtesy booth in the main concourse during their upcoming series against Stockton. The Quakes host the Ports for a four-game series beginning Friday night at 7:05 PM.

Coolbaugh is survived by his wife Mandy and two children, Jacob and Joseph. The couple was expecting their third child in October.
