Wings Soar On Offense, Bulls Lose 10-4

Durham, NC - After back and forth game the previous night, the Red Wings took the lead early and did not look back as they pounded out 10 runs on 17 hits en route to a 10-4 victory over the Bulls on Wednesday afternoon at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
RHP Jae Seo (1-1) surrendered nine of the 10 runs on 12 hits and two walks with just one strikeout in 3 2/3 innings. Tommy Watkins started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run home run, and Jose Morales hit an RBI single in the third inning to give the Red Wings an early 3-0 lead. The game unraveled for Seo in the fourth inning as he surrendered two more home runs. Denard Span leading the inning off with a home run, Glenn Willams hit an RBI single and Brian Buscher hit a three-run home run to make the score 8-0. Tommy Watkins doubled in Jose Morales to make the score 9-0.
LHP Brian Duensing cruised for the Wings, surrendering just two runs on six hits with no walks and four strikeouts. The Bulls first run came in the fifth inning when Ben Zobrist hit into an RBI ground out and the second came in the seventh inning on solo home run from Jorge Velandia. The Wings added another run in the eighth inning while the Bulls scored two unearned runs in the ninth inning during a late rally attempt. The Bulls had the bases loaded with a 10-4 score, but LHP Jason Miller entered the game to face Joel Guzman struck him out to end the game.
