Tuesday's "Tumbleweed Tuesday" Ticket Price Only $1.00

June 25, 2007 - California League (CalL1)
Lancaster JetHawks News Release

(Lancaster, CA)- As part of its tribute to the windy conditions that are prevalent in the Antelope Valley, the Lancaster JetHawks will discount Reserved Section tickets for all Tuesday home games during the 2007 regular season, based on the wind recording the day before each Tuesday home game. The wind gust recording at Clear Channel Stadium this afternoon was a pleasant 10 MPH, meaning Reserved Section tickets will cost only $1.00 for tomorrow's game against the Bakersfield Blaze. Tickets are priced at 10-cents for each MPH of wind recorded.

Mother nature yet again took her breezy cue from JetHawks action on the field. Realizing that the JetHawks are ten games better than .500 for the first time since the end of the 2005 season, the wind speed was set to ten miles an hour. JetHawks Assistant General Manager Jeff Stewart, who often claims to hear voices from random household objects and who once even claimed that his toaster oven was channeling instructions from Hoyt Wilhelm onto his toast about how to throw the knuckleball, mounted the jet parked in front of the stadium and craned his neck into the wind in an attempt to hear nature's voice dictating the wind speed. After ten hours he gave up, assuming the wind speed must be ten miles per hour.

Great tickets for most JetHawks home games are available now. Contact the JetHawks box office by phone at (661) 726-500 or online at www.JetHawks.com.
