State College Spikes News Release

WILLIAMSPORT, PA -- Tuesday's season opener between the State College Spikes and the Williamsport Crosscutters has been suspended due to rain. It will be made up on Thursday, June 21st beginning at 6:05 pm as part of a doubleheader. The Spikes were trailing by the score of 2-0 heading into the top of the third when the rains came, forcing the suspension. The second game will begin a half hour after the completion of game one, and will be a seven-inning contest.

The rainout means that the Spikes will begin their season on Wednesday evening in the friendly confines of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. RHP Moises Robles will make the start for the Spikes and will be opposed by RHP Drew Naylor.
