The return of Cox
Veteran Chip Cox was back on the field with the Alouettes this morning, participating in his first practice after passing his medical yesterday. "I'm very happy to see Chip back with us," said General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp. "He's a tremendous athlete and a great contributor. He is motivated; one day he is cut (from the Redskins) and the next day, he calls me and says he wants to be an Alouette."
Rookie show
The Alouettes will hold their annual rookie show tonight. Each year, rookies skits, sing, dance make fun of each other and have a good time.
This morning
Special teams took control of the field this morning, under the watchful eyes of Noel Thorpe, Brad Miller and Chris Jones. Practice lasted about an hour.
Scrimmage at the University of Montreal
The Alouettes will make a stop at the University of Montreal's CEPSUM stadium tonight for a scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free and fans are welcome to take in the activities.
Tomorrow
The Alouettes will not practice tomorrow. The next practice is Friday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
