Burlington, IA (June 12, 2007) - LHP Matt Campbell returns to the Burlington Bees active roster today and will start tomorrow night in game three of this four-game series against the Peoria Chiefs. The Kansas City Royals promoted Campbell to the high-A Wilmington in the Carolina League last week on June 7th and he made one start for the Blue Rocks on June 8th at Winston-Salem. He pitched seven innings and allowed two runs on three hits with one walk and five strikeouts and picked up the victory in a 4-2 win over the Warthogs.

Campbell has made eleven appearances (six starts) with the Bees this year and is 4-2 with a 3.47 ERA. In 46.2 innings, he has allowed 40 hits and eleven walks while striking out 41. Santiago is expected to miss just one outing and come back after the All-Star Break. Santiago and Campbell had been piggy-back partners all season for the Bees before the promotion and injury last week.
