Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws will return home after a 10-game road trip for four games with the Delmarva Shorebirds (Orioles) beginning Thursday night.
The festivities kick off with the Jimmy Buffett Beach Bash on Thursday at 7:05, a game in which the BlueClaws players will be wearing special "Beach" jerseys during the game. The night is presented by the Borough of Seaside Heights. It's also Charity Night, where local non-profits will be setting up on the concourse displaying information about their organizations.
Friday, as always, is a post-game fireworks show courtesy of Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood, which will follow the 7:05 game.
The BlueClaws on Saturday will celebrate their 2006 South Atlantic League Championship season by giving away S.A.L. Championship posters to the first 2,000 fans of all ages courtesy of the Asbury Park Press.
There will also be post-game fireworks on Saturday, a show re-scheduled from June 1st, when the fireworks were rained out. Tickets from that night's game, as well as for the June 3rd game, can be exchanged in person at the FirstEnergy Park box office for any other game this season. Saturday's game begins at 7:05.
Sunday is Father's Day and the series concludes with a 1:05 game. Dads are invited to play catch with their children on the field following the final out of the ballgame. A special Father's Day Four-Pack is available; families purchasing four tickets to the game will receive four vouchers, each good for a hot dog, chips, and a soda. Further, the father will receive a free sleeve of BlueClaws golf balls.
After the all-star break, June 18-20, the BlueClaws will play six more games at FirstEnergy Park from June 21- 26.
The 2006 South Atlantic League Champion BlueClaws continue to have the most affordable ticket for Professional Baseball in New Jersey. Having led the South Atlantic League in attendance each year of operation, this year they will add their 3-millionth fan, becoming the fastest team in league and New Jersey history to do so. For tickets or more information call 732-901-7000 or visit the BlueClaws website at www.BlueClaws.com.
