Homestand (7-5)

TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Albuquerque Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 2003 when they moved from Calgary. Last year, the Isotopes finished fourth in the American South Division with a 70-72 record.

VS. ALBUQUERQUE:

The two teams split a four-game series at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in May. The Isotopes won the first two games with the RedHawks winning the final two. The Hawks went 2-6 at Isotopes Park last season.

TODAY'S GAME:

This is game 63 of the season. It's the first of a four-game series and the fifth of 15 meetings between Oklahoma and Albuquerque this season. This game begins an 8-game road trip for the RedHawks.

LAST GAME:

The RedHawks won a series finale for just the fourth time yesterday with an 8-6 win against Round Rock. Three different RedHawks hit a homer, including Nelson Cruz's two 2-run shots.Starter Jamey Wright earned the win by allowing six runs on 10 hits in 6.2 innings. Franklyn German pitched the final two innings for his first save of the season.

ROSTER MOVES:

RHP Chris Baker was transferred to Frisco yesterday. Today, RHP Kameron Loe and C Chris Stewart join the RedHawks after being optioned by Texas. C Nick Trzesniak was released today.

PITCHING MATCHUP: John Rheinecker

starts for the RedHawks after making his last start Tuesday for Texas. Rheinecker lost to Detroit, allowing four runs on seven hits in three innings of work. Nic Ungs goes to the mound for the Isotopes.

KINGS OF THE HILL:

RedHawk starters went 5-2 with a 3.21 ERA in 70 innings, including seven quality starts, in 12 games during the last homestand. For the season, the starters are 18-22 with a 5.20 ERA.

GOLD AT THE PLATE: Nate Gold

has hit safely in 11 of the last 12 games for the RedHawks after going 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI yesterday. In nine games this month, Gold is hitting .421 with three homers and 17 RBIs.

BOTTS STAYS HOT: Jason Botts

hit .500 (19-38) with two homers nine RBIs during the last homestand. He brings a 26-game on-base streak into tonight after going 1-for-4 with an RBI yesterday. Botts leads the PCL with 22 doubles, is third with a .419 on-base percentage and is tied for fourth with 49 RBIs.

GUZMAN'S STREAKS END: Freddy Guzman's

12-game hitting streak came to an end yesterday. Guzman hit .365 (19-52) with a homer and three RBIs during the streak. He had a hit in 13 consecutive home games, and had reached base safely in 16 consecutive home games before going 0-for-5 yesterday.

HIT STREAKS:

Botts brings an 12-game streak into tonight. Kevin Mahar has an 9-game streak and Desi Relaford has a 7-game streak.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

. The RedHawks tied a season-high by coming back from a 5-run deficit to defeat Round Rock yesterday. Both times the Hawks have come back from five runs down to win this season, Round Rock was in the other dugout...The RedHawks are 12-4 in the first game of a series...The Hawks won for just the fifth time this season when being outhit by their opponents (5-23). Round Rock outhit the Hawks 11 to 10 yesterday...The RedHawks hit a season-high four home runs yesterday. They have 13 homers this month...Guzman is tied for fouth in the PCL with 15 stolen bases.
