April 2, 2007 - California League (CalL1)
Lancaster JetHawks News Release
The 2007 JetHawks arrived in Lancaster Sunday evening and visited Clear Channel Stadium for the first time Monday. Coaches and players alike were impressed with their new home as they held their first practice in the Antelope Valley. The JetHawks are preparing for Tuesday's exhibition game against the Antelope Valley College Marauders and Thursday's regular season home opener when they will welcome the Bakersfield Blaze. Tickets for the exhibition game and opening day are available at the JetHawks box office, by phone at 726-5400, or at www.JetHawks.com.
The players checked in at Clear Channel Stadium Monday morning to take care of all the little details that must be checked before the season begins. For the first time, each player donned their JetHawks uniform before heading to their first media conference. After taking photographs and speaking with local newspaper and television reporters, the players recorded brand new material for the JetHawks Video Board.
Finally, the players were ready to stretch and take the field. Manager Chad Epperson put his team through some light infield practice and a full round of batting practice to cap off the team's first day in Lancaster.
