Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON, Texas - The National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild has acquired right wing Aaron Voros from the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils and assigned him to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, the teams announced today. The Wild acquired Voros in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

"Aaron is the rare player who can skate, intimidate and score goals," said Minnesota Wild assistant general manager/Houston Aeros general manager Tom Lynn. "He helps fill a vital need in our organization."

Voros, 25 (7/2/81), has played 192 games over the last three-plus seasons in the Devils organization. Voros has posted 78 points (38-40=78) and 525 penalty minutes with Albany and Lowell, and this season notched 17 points (9-8=17) and 111 penalty minutes in 39 games with Lowell. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound native of Vancouver, B.C., was New Jersey's eight-round pick (No. 229 overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Voros played three collegiate seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team in 2002.
