February 27, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) Manitoba Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, have announced they have re-assigned forward Brad Moran to the Moose.

Moran, 27, appeared in one game with Vancouver at Dallas on Feb. 25 after being recalled the day previous. The Abbotsford, BC native has now played in three games with Vancouver this season and collected an assist and two penalty minutes in that time. In his first season with the Moose, Moran is the team's second-leading scorer with 19 goals and 38 assists for 57 points in just 49 games. He was recently selected to the 2007 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Game in Toronto. Moran is 12th in the AHL in scoring and is seventh in the league in assists. He also holds the mark for the longest points streak on the team this season at seven games (Dec. 5-Dec. 16/06) and is 14th in the AHL in powerplay assists with 14.

Moran had previously appeared in five NHL games in his seven-year pro career, all with the Columbus Blue Jackets. In his career, he has collected a goal and two assists, along with four penalty minutes. In 383 career AHL games with Syracuse and Manitoba, Moran has 117 goals and 181 assists for 298 points and 253 penalty minutes.

Moran was originally selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the seventh round, 191st overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
