Canucks Assign Chouinard to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have assigned forward Marc Chouinard to the Moose.

Chouinard, 29, has appeared in 42 games thus far this year with the Canucks where he collected two goals and two assists for four points and 10 penalty minutes before being placed on waivers on Feb. 26th. In six seasons in the NHL, the Charlesbourg, PQ native has appeared in 320 career NHL games with Anaheim, Minnesota, and Vancouver. In that time, he has 37 goals and 41 assists for 78 points and 123 penalty minutes. In 15 career NHL playoff games, Chouinard has scored one goal and six penalty minutes.

Chouinard has also appeared in 179 career games in the AHL with the former Cincinnnati Mighty Ducks. In that span, Chouinard collected 35 goals and 35 assists for 70 points and 57 penalty minutes.

Chouinard was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Jets with their second round choice, 32nd overall, in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
