Catchings to participate in McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

INDIANAPOLIS - WNBA All-Star, reigning Defensive Player of the Year and Indiana Fever forward Tamika Catchings will participate among 18 entertainers and celebrities Friday evening, as part of the McDonald's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game presented by 2K Sports, in association with T-Mobile USA, as part of NBA All-Star 2007 in Las Vegas, Among Catchings' teammates on the West Team will be New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. Katie Smith of the Detroit Shock joins Catchings as the only WNBA stars to participate.

The game airs live on ESPN on Friday, Feb. 16, at 7:00 p.m. ET from NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. ESPN play-by-play commentator Mark Jones and analysts Jon Barry and Tom Tolbert call the action, along with courtside reporters Stuart Scott and Jim Gray. ESPN analysts and former NBA players Tim Legler (East) and Greg Anthony (West) will serve as head coaches. Assistant coaches include actor James Pickens, Jr. ("Grey's Anatomy") for the East and "Mr. Las Vegas" Wayne Newton for the West.

Academy Award™-winning actor Jamie Foxx (Ray), Grammy™ Award-winning entertainer Nelly, Academy Award nominee Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile), actor David Arquette ("In Case of Emergency"), actor James Denton ("Desperate Housewives"), and the Food Network's Bobby Flay ("Throwdown with Bobby Flay") are among additional celebrity players.

No stranger to basketball success, Foxx's team won last year's title of the NBA Entertainment League, co-presented by 2K Sports and T-Mobile. Other players in this year's Celebrity Game who have participated in the NBAE League include Arquette, Bow Wow, Nick Cannon, Taye Diggs, Donald Faison, Kevin Frazier, and Jamie Kennedy.
