Sioux Falls Acquires Hite, Dixon

The Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League has acquired guard Robert Hite and center Nigel Dixon. To make roster room, Sioux Falls waived guard DeSean Hadley and center Chad Bell.

An undrafted rookie from the University of Miami, Hite (6-2, 187) played 12 games with the Miami HEAT this season before being waived on Feb. 1. He averaged 4.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 11.3 minutes. In 121 games at the University of Miami he averaged 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 assists and 29.5 minutes. Hite finished his collegiate career fifth on Miami's all-time scoring list with 1,717 points.

The second overall selection in the 2005 D-League Draft by the Fayetteville Patriots, Dixon (6-11, 290) played collegiately at Florida State (1999-2002) and Western Kentucky (2003-04). He signed with the Denver Nuggets as an undrafted free agent in 2005, was waived during training camp and went on to play 11 games in Greece for MENT Vassilakis, averaging 4.1 points and 4.7 rebounds. He played in just three games for Fayetteville in 2005-06, averaging 7.3 points and 3.7 rebounds before going to Korea to play for Pusan KTF Magic Wings, where he suffered a knee injury.

Hadley played in 16 games (eight starts) for Sioux Falls, averaging 24.1 minutes, 4.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Bell has played in 24 games for the Skyforce and Arkansas, averaging 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds.

Both Hite and Dixon are expected to be in uniform when the Skyforce (16-14) is host to the Austin Toros (14-16) on Tuesday.
