"The Minnesota Lynx organization is proud to be a part of the state's National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration," Angela Taylor, Lynx Vice President of Business Development said. "This is a special day to all of us and having our players and staff spend time with people in our community is our way of saying thanks for their continued support while also looking forward to another year of growth in women's athletics."

National Girls and Women in Sports Day was first chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1986 and honors female athletic achievement and recognizes the positive influence of sports participation for girls and women. The day is recognized in all 50 states.
