Jazz Make Amundson Ninth Gatorade Call-Up

GREENVILLE, S.C., Feb. 5, 2007 - Utah Jazz senior vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor announced today that the team will sign Louis Amundson of the NBA Development League's Colorado 14ers to a 10-day contract pending the outcome of a successful physical on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Amundson is the ninth GATORADE Call-Up from the D-League this season, the second in Jazz franchise history and the first for the expansion 14ers.

The 6-8 forward out of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) has played in 22 games with Colorado, averaging 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 25.0 minutes. Amundson played in six preseason games with the Sacramento Kings this season, scoring two points in 43 minutes of action.

Expansion teams in Utah and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas have also been announced to begin play in the 2007-08 season.
