Stockton Ports News Release

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports are pleased to announce the 2007 editions of their popular Silver Sluggers and Kids Club programs. The programs allow seniors and children to attend Ports home games at a discounted rate via club membership.

Following a tremendously successful first season, the Ports will again be hosting the ever-popular Silver Sluggers Club. Club membership is open to seniors age 55 and older. Silver Slugger members pay a one-time fee of $10 and receive a membership card that gives them admittance to all nine Wednesday home games at Banner Island Ballpark. In addition, all members receive a free Silver Sluggers t-shirt, along with attendance incentive bonuses such as free food and free Ports baseball cards. Last season, nearly 1,400 seniors participated in the program.

The 2007 'Everyday Eddie' Kids Club program will allow children ages 12 and under to attend all Sunday home games for free. The program is co-sponsored by major league all-star and Stockton native Eddie Guardado. Membership to the Kids Club is $6, and all members will receive an exclusive membership card, member t-shirt, invitations to player interaction events throughout the year and much more.

"Our Silver Slugger and Kids Club members are such an important part of our fan base, and we're thrilled to be offering both of these programs again," said Ports community relations manager Danielle Alt. "We're looking forward to welcoming both groups back to Banner Island Ballpark this season, and we promise to have many exciting activities and events in store for them."

Applications for both clubs are available now at www.stocktonports.com or in person at Banner Island Ballpark. For more information regarding the Silver Sluggers and 'Everyday Eddie' Kids Club programs, contact Danielle at (209) 644-1900.
