BlueCats DE Demoine Adams signs with Nashville Kats

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats of United Indoor Football are pleased to announce that defensive end Demoine Adams has signed a contract to play with the Arena Football League's Nashville Kats. Adams played defensive end for the Evansville BlueCats in 2006 and had an outstanding season recording 8 quarterback sacks to lead the team and rank #4 overall in the league. Demoine also ranked second on the team and #6 in the league with 16.5 tackles for loss. What makes his numbers even more impressive is that Adams accumulated these totals despite missing 5 games while being limited by a knee injury.
BlueCats Head Coach John Hart said, "They don't get any better Demoine. You can't say enough about his talent and character on and off the football field. He's the ultimate leader. He was chosen team captain by his teammates because of his work ethic and his dedication to the game of football. He leads by example and his attitude is always positive, which is just infectious and it filters through all of his teammates. He was the best defensive end in our league last season and we certainly wish him well and look forward to seeing what he can do at the next level."
Before playing for the BlueCats, Demoine played two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Nebraska where he started at defensive end during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. He led the Cornhuskers in sacks his junior year and was second on the team in sacks his senior year. He was also member of the 2002 Rose Bowl team that finished the season as the National Runner-Up.
