Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that left wing Dany Roussin (DAN knee ROO sin) has been re-assigned from Manchester to Reading. Roussin (6'2"/200 lbs.) was previously assigned from Manchester to Reading on November 3 and played four games with the Royals, picking up one assist and six penalty minutes, before being recalled to the Monarchs on November 15. Over the course of this season, Roussin, who hails from Quebec City, Quebec, has scored two goals and added two assists in nine games with Manchester. Last year, Roussin, 21, who was the Kings second pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, scored twenty-two goals and assisted on twenty three others in forty-one regular season games with the Royals. In separate transactions, the Royals also released forward Vin Hellemeyer and placed defenseman Roman Teslyuk on the three-day injured reserve. It is expected that Roussin will be in the lineup when the Royals take on the Gwinnett Gladiators for the first time in team history at the Sovereign Center in Reading on Wednesday night (6:35 pm). Royals' game day broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as through the internet via the Royals' website (www.royalshockey.com) with the pre-game show beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off.
