Falardeau reassigned to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Derek Wilkinson announced today that the New York Rangers have reassigned center Lee Falardeau from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL to Charlotte.

In 16 games with the Wolf Pack this season, Falardeau had one goal and two assists for three points, along with 22 penalty minutes.

After starting the 2005-06 season in Charlotte, the 6-foot-4-inch, 215 pounder from Midland, Mich. skated in 64 games with Hartford producing five goals and 17 assists during the regular season. During the Wolf Pack's playoff run, Falardeau skated in 11 games registering three assists. In his six games with the Checkers, he notched two goals and two assists.

During his rookie season in 2004-05 season, the product of Michigan State University scored 18 goals and 17 assists in 55 games with the Checkers.

Falardeau was a second round selection by the New York Rangers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft (33rd pick overall).
