Alaska's Reichmuth Named Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Alaska rookie Isaac Reichmuth is the Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 20-26.

In his first professional season and under contract to Peoria of the American Hockey League, the 24-year-old was 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.44 and a save percentage of .945 in two road starts.

After making 21 saves in a 6-1 win at Bakersfield on Nov. 21, the 5-foot-11 and 175-pound Reichmuth made 31 saves and stopped the final four shootout attempts as the Aces beat Stockton 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, the first home loss of the season for the Thunder.

Reichmuth is 3-1-0 with a goals-against average of 2.22 and a save percentage of .910 in four starts for Alaska, including his professional debut on Oct. 21 when he stopped 14 of 16 shots in a 4-2 win against Victoria.

He played four seasons at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he was 56-47-15 and is the all-time leader with a goals-against average of 2.91 and a save percentage of .898. He helped UMD advance to the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time in 19 years in 2004 when he finished 23-9-4 and posted a school record goals-against average of 2.64.

Runners Up: Mike McKenna, Las Vegas (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .946 save pct.) and Matt Yeats, Texas (3-0-0, 2.67 GAA, .941 save pct.).
