Wheeling Nailers News Release

Wheeling, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburg Penguins, announce today that they have signed forward Sean Collins. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Collins enters his second full season as a professional after spending four years at the University of New Hampshire.

"I'm excited to be back in Wheeling," he said. "We have a good group of guys coming back. And with Glenn (Patrick) running the show, we're really confident that we can have another successful season."

Last season, as a rookie, the 5-foot-8, 178-pound Massachusetts native led the Nailers in scoring with 76 points (27g and 49a) in 62 games. He was also named as a starter for the American Conference All-Star team and finished second in Rookie of the Year Award voting.

"He showed last year that he was one of the best players in the league and we are real pleased that we can get a player like that back for another season," head coach Glenn Patrick said. "We're going to look to him when we need that big goal to turn games around."

Individual game tickets are on sale now. They are available for purchase at the Nailers team store located in their office at 1315 Main St. in downtown Wheeling, by calling 304-234-GOAL or online at www.WheelingNailers.com.
