Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that rookie goaltender Adam Hanna has agreed to terms for the 2006-2007 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6' 1", 195-pound native of Owatonna, MN, played the last three seasons with Saint John's University and was 51-13-5 in 69 starts with a 1.77 goals against and .928 save percentage. Adam holds Saint John's single season and career records for wins, GAA, save percentage and shutouts. Hanna capped his three year stay at Saint John's by winning the Sid Watson Memorial Award as the Outstanding Hockey Player in Division III. Hanna was one of two Division III players selected and the only goalie to represent the West Region in the inaugural NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge in Milwaukee last April.

Hanna played junior hockey with the Waterloo Black Hawks for two seasons and posted an 18-20-4 record. Adam was then offered a scholarship by St. Cloud State, a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association WCHA, arguably the premier Division I hockey conference in the US and was a red shirt his freshman year.

"Hanna has the stats to be a number one goaltender," said Managing Partner/Owner Steven Bash. "We are very excited to have signed such a quality goaltender and look forward to watching him make that leap to professional hockey."

"Adam rewrote the record books at Saint John's and is very deserving of having the opportunity to be a number one goaltender in the ECHL," said Head Coach and General Manager Rick Adduono. "I look forward to Hanna displaying what he is all about with the Ice Dogs and confident that he will be able to do so."

"Growing up playing hockey in Minnesota you always dream of signing your first pro contract," said Hanna. "I am extremely excited to start my pro career in Long Beach. The Ice Dogs really wanted me and I am going to give it my all."

Opening night is Friday, October 20th, versus the Idaho Steelheads at 7:30 PM. Season tickets for the 2006-07 season are on sale now, and can be secured by depositing just $100 per seat. Call (562) ICE-DOGS for visit www.icedogs.com for more information.
