ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 6, 2006) - Are you looking for a remarkable one-of-a-kind Christmas or birthday present for the Orlando Predators fan in your life? Want to grab a piece of the team's 2006 National Conference championship?
You can do so and support a great cause at the same time by bidding for the actual away game jerseys of the 2006 Orlando Predators football team. The auction opens on Friday Sept. 8 at www.orlandopredators.com and continues through Friday, Oct. 8.
The white away jerseys with black and red trim are the actual NIKE game jerseys from the 2006 season, which the Predators finished the season with a 10-6 record, won the National Conference championship and played in ArenaBowl XX in Las Vegas.
Each game jersey features the player's name plate on the back and comes with official letter of authenticity from the Orlando Predators. As an added bonus, the official game patch from ArenaBowl XX will be sewn on the left chest of each jersey.
All proceeds from the jersey auction will go to the Orlando Predators Foundation, which supports local charities. The minimum bid for most jerseys will be $150, with certain players starting at $200. Custom framing and matting for the jersey is available at an additional charge.
Player jerseys available include quarterback Joe Hamilton, All-Rookie WR/DB Javarus Dudley, three-time Defensive Player of the Year Kenny McEntyre and offensive specialist and leading receiver Jimmy Fryzel.
In addition to the jerseys, the Predators are also auctioning off a limited edition framed Orlando Predators photo. The photo features the words "Orlando Predators 2006" cut out of a red mat background. Each letter features an action photo from the 2006 season and the red mat background is signed by every member of the 2006 National Conference Championship team.
