GALAXY HOST COLORADO RAPIDS IN OPEN CUP QUARTERFINALS WEDNEDAY, FACE D.C. UNITED SATURDAY AT R.F.K. STADIUM: The Los Angeles Galaxy continues its Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title defense when the team hosts the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at The Home Depot Center. The game will be broadcast live by Joe Tutino on www.lagalaxy.com. The match will serve as Bonus Game C for Galaxy full season ticket holders. The game will be available via a live internet radio broadcast on www.lagalaxy.com. Tickets are now available for sale by calling the Galaxy toll-free at 1-877-3GALAXY (1-877-342-5299). After the Open Cup, the Galaxy then take to the road and face MLS-leading D.C. United on Saturday, Aug. 26 at R.F.K. Stadium at 4:30 p.m. live on KWHY 22, CA$H 1700 AM and KXME 830 AM. Following a 2-0 win over FC Dallas on Aug. 20, the Galaxy is looking to win two games in a row for the second time this season.

GET YOUR GALAXY STRETCH RUN PACK: Make sure you are a part of the Galaxy's stretch run to the playoffs with the Galaxy Stretch Run Pack. The Galaxy's three-game Stretch Run Pack starts at just $24 per person and includes these exciting late season matches:

September 10 - L.A. Galaxy vs. Houston Dynamo, presented by Tide at 5:00 p.m. The first 10,000 fans will receive a free Cobi Jones action figure and the first 9,000 fans to receive hacky sacks presented by Tide.

LUCHA LIBRE HIGHLIGHTS BUDWEISER HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT: On Saturday, Sept. 2, the L.A. Galaxy will host Budweiser Hispanic Heritage Night as the Galaxy take on the Kansas City Wizards at 7:30 p.m. at The Home Depot Center. The Galaxy is proud to host a special pre-game Lucha Libre match, presented by Infinity Insurance. Three Lucha Libre matches will take place on the concourse, featuring Infernal vs. R2K, Sombra Infernal and Genio vs. Mister X and Silver Tiger and in the main event, Enigma de Oro, Kayam (Los Chivos) and Doctor Maldad vs. La Super Parka and Mascara Sagrada.

QUARANTA STRIKES FIRST AT HOME DEPOT CENTER: Galaxy midfielder Santino Quaranta, who joined the club in a trade on Aug. 8, scored late in the first half on Aug. 20 in his first appearance at The Home Depot Center in the Galaxy's 2-0 win over D.C. United. Making his first start for L.A., Quaranta launched a shot from nearly 35 yards away as time was winding down in the first half that beat Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala. Quaranta now has two goals for L.A. in just three appearances.

LONGEST STRETCH FOR GORDON: Galaxy forward Alan Gordon started his third game of the season Aug. 20 and the eighth start of his MLS career. Gordon played 85 minutes, the longest amount of time he has ever played in an MLS game.

ANOTHER GALAXY SHUTOUT: Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman recorded his seventh shutout of the season on Aug. 20 against Dallas. It was the second shutout in three games for Hartman, as the Galaxy defense is the second stingiest in MLS this season. Hartman's seven shutouts and 1.05 goals against average are second only to Troy Perkins of D.C. United.

GALAXY SUMER SOCCER CAMPS CONTINUE IN REDONDO BEACH: The Galaxy Summer Soccer Camps continue this week in Redondo Beach at Julia Field from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Galaxy Summer Soccer Camps are an unbelievable experience for children ages 7-15 that include five days of training that teach technical/tactical skills and drills directly from the Galaxy practice sessions. Children can experience first-hand what a typical workout session if like for a professional soccer player. Campers learn how to play soccer the Galaxy way, as Galaxy President & General Manager Alexi Lalas was on hand to greet the campers. All campers receive a Galaxy soccer ball, camp T-shirt, a goodie bag and a personalized picture with a Galaxy player, and two tickets for a Galaxy game and much more. GALAXY TO HOST FAITH NIGHT SEPT. 2: On Saturday, Sept. 2 the Los Angeles Galaxy will host its fourth annual Faith Night. Faith Night will be highlighted by three faith-based bands performing before and after the game, Pastor Tom Fain and a skateboarding exhibition by Sap Skateboards. GALAXY TO CLEBRATE BRAZILIAN NIGHT ON SEPTEMBER 10: The Galaxy will celebrate Brasil Fest 06 on Sunday, Sept. 10 when the Galaxy hosts the Houston Dynamo at 5:00 p.m. at The Home Depot Center. There will be Brazilian themed vendors as well as a pre-game concert with Margareth Menezes and samba dancers before during and after the game. Galaxy fans will also witness Brazilian jujitsu and Capoeira demonstrations.

GALAXY FANS TO GET A KICK AND A SQUEEZE ON SEPTEMBER 16: On Saturday, Sept. 16 when the Galax host the Colorado Rapids, presented by Gatorade, the first 10,000 youth fans (ages 16 and under) will receive a soccer ball presented by 830 AM.
