This Week:

Wednesday, August 23st: Condors community relations manager Jill Watts will attend the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's dinner at the Petroleum Club to celebrate the fourth annual Dream Home Giveaway. The Dream Home Giveaway raised more than 2.1 million dollars for the St. Jude Research hospital located in Memphis, TN. The Condors donated 4 terrace level season tickets valued over $1400

Thursday, August 24th: Condors player Kevin Truelson will help raise money for the American Heart Association's fundraiser at the KGET studios located at 2120 L Street. Truelson will be featured live on KGET-TV17 getting soaked in a dunk tank every time a donation is given to the American Heart Association from 6:30 to 7:00am. The community is encouraged to come join the Condors at the television studios and give donations to help raise money for the Heart Walk that will take place Oct. 21. Friday, August 25th: Condors player Andrew Ianiero takes his turn in the dunk tank from 6:00-6:30am at the KGET-TV17 studios in support of donations to the American Heart Association. Donations will be accepted from 5:00-7:00am and from 5:00-7:00pm on both Thursday and Friday.

Monday, August 14th: Condors player Sean Venedam and Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd visited the Little Red School House on Fruitvale Avenue to educate kids about hockey. Tuesday, August 15th: The Condors took player Kevin Truelson to the Little Red School House on California Ave. where he answered the kids' questions as he showed off hockey gear. The kids were also able to have their picture taken with Col. Claw'd.

Mark your Calendars:

Wednesday, August 30th: Goodwill Industries, Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd and members of the front office staff will travel to Taft to collect donations for theCondors Care-A-Van . This stop will include lunch with theKern Valley Rotary Club. If your organization or company is interested in being a pit- stop for the Condors Care-A-Van contact the Condors Community Relations department at (661) 324-PUCK (7825).

Saturday, September 9th: Members of the Condors front office staff will participate in the annual Day of Caring hosted by United Way of Kern. The Condors will volunteer their assistance to local non-profit organizations as they help complete their projects. To get involved with this "Day of Caring" call Megan Beeman with the United Way of Kern County at 834-1382.

Saturday, September 9th: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend the H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection of Kern County's "Aloha Hula Luau" at Shriner's Noble Park. The event is held for children with Special Needs and their immediate families. To RSVP please call 328-9055, or contact the Adaptive Aquatics Center for more information at 322-6202.

The Bakersfield Condors are offering an Early Bird Special for 2006-2007 Condors Kids Club membership. From now until September 1st, Condors fans age 12 and under can join the coolest club in town for only $15! Membership runs from September 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. Special activities allow for ONE- OF-A-KIND opportunities to meet Condors players, coaches, and mascots Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal. Kid's Club t-shirt, exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Brighthouse Networks and Wells Fargo bank, and tickets to these six games are included:

In the Community: The Bakersfield Condors were the recipients of the 2005 Beautiful Bakersfield Humanitarian Group Award for their charitable work in the community. This past season the Condors donated $405,540 in cash or product to local non-profit organizations.
