NUMBER NINE NOT SO FINE: The White Sox suffered their ninth consecutive loss last night 8-7 to Ogden. While the club managed to score more than five runs for the first time in ten games it fell short by one run, dropping to 5-10 in one run contests this season. The Sox have lost the first two games in this four game series with the Raptors by a count of 10-17 and have not led at any point. Last night Great Falls got homers from Tyler Reves and Chris Carter (who drove in four runs), out-hit Ogden 11-8 but committed five errors for the second straight game in dropping to 4-15 in the Pioneer League's second half. LHP Ryan Wing got the last minute call to start for Tim Day, who was scratched from the scheduled start due to soreness behind his right shoulder, and was tagged with his first loss of the season. Tonight marks the third of four in this series and the third game of a seven game home stand for the White Sox.

WILLIAMSON GETS THE CALL TONIGHT: LHP Logan Williamson takes the ball tonight, making his 12th start of the season. The southpaw from Pensacola, Florida brings a 4-3 record and 3.68 earned run average to the mound against Ogden. Williamson dropped his last decision August 13 to Helena surrendering four earned runs on five hits in 4.1 innings of work. He'd won his previous two starts yielding just three earned runs on nine hits in twelve innings versus Helena August 3 and at Billings August 8. Williamson has two starts this season in which he's allowed no earned runs. He began the season at Class A Kannapolis posting a 1-3 mark in 13 relief appearances. The 21 year old was selected in the 27th round of the 2005 draft by the Chicago White Sox.

HOW THE SOX STACK UP: The White Sox propelled two homers out of Centene Stadium last night increasing their Pioneer League leading total to 49 round-trippers. The Sox are third in the league in team batting average (.266), third in hits (513) and seventh in runs scored (283). Defensively, Great Falls is number one in double plays turned (69), while leading the league in errors (127) and sitting dead last in fielding percentage (.945). White Sox pitching has a collective 4.68 earned run average, placing them sixth of the eight staffs in the league.

TRENDING: During the course of the White Sox current nine game losing streak the club has been outscored 66-27, averaging 3 runs per game offensively. White Sox pitching has allowed 7 or more runs in 13 of the team's last 19 games. INF Franklin Bautista is hitting .143 (1-7) in his last 4 games played. 1B Chris Carter ended a 13 game homer-less drought with his 3 run blast in the eighth inning last night. Carter's batting .161 (5-31) with 13 strike-outs over the last 9 games. DH Tyler Reves is batting .343 (12-35) with 5 runs scored, 2 HR and 5 RBI over the last 10 games. 2B John Shelby is hitting .160 (4-25) with 9 strike-outs over his last 7 games played. OF Lee Cruz is batting .348 (23-66) with 11 runs scored, 3 HR and 9 RBI over his last 17 games. He leads the team with 19 multiple-hit games this season. OF Santo Garcia is 0-15 with 5 strike-outs over his last 7 games. OF Archie Gilbert is hitting .348 (8-23) with 3 doubles, 1 HR and 3 RBI over his last 6 games. OF Christian Marrero is batting .333 (6-18) with 3 doubles and 3 RBI over his last 6 games. 3B Mike Grace is hitting .186 (8-43) over his last 11 games played. Utility man Matt Sharp is batting .136 (3-22) over his last 13 games. C Reymundo Tavares is hitting .300 (9-30) with 4 doubles over his last 10 games. INF Tim Lawrence is hitting .298 (20-67) with 17 runs scored over his last 22 games. C Kris Welker is batting .071 (2-28) with 7 strike-outs over his last 9 games. HEAD TO HEAD: The White Sox and Raptors square off in the third game of this four game series this evening. The two will meet seven times over the next eleven days. Ogden leads the season series 2-0.
